A detailed vestibular assessment involves:

1. Taking a comprehensive record of your current symptoms and past medical history.

2. Testing the oculomotor system (eye muscles) and the vestibulo-ocular reflex (eye movements relative to head movements).

3. Motion sensitivity testing (testing symptoms during functional movements) and positional testing for Benign Paroxsymal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).

4.Testing balance and the proprioceptive system.

Our clinic uses research-based assessment and treatment methods. We use infrared goggle technology to record abnormal eye movements (nystagmus) during testing. This provides a more accurate diagnosis, and guides appropriate treatment.
